So, when i first heard about the Arby’s RoastBurger, i was scared for a second that they had made an ACTUAL burger. Luckily, this was not the case. I’ve always admired Arby’s for sticking with the “roast beef” that has made them famous. If you don’t know what i’m talking about, the RoastBurger is basically an Arby’s Roast Beef sandwich with slightly different spices and standard burger toppings, like cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle.

We had a coupon for a free RoastBurger if you buy a small drink and fries at full price. I chose the Bacon Cheddar RoastBurger and went back to my office. Upon opening the bag, i saw that the RoastBurger was contained in a box bearing a striking resemblance to a Big Mac container, but i liked the look of it:

I opened the box, and found a sad-looking sandwich, but this is not a fault. Pretty much all burgers look crappy compared to the marketing images of them. Also note that i asked for no tomato or onion, which is most of the “burger-like” toppings:

So, i took a bite. Long story short, it wasn’t bad. The roast beef wasn’t very warm, so the cheese wasn’t nearly as melted as it would have been on a real burger. Also, there were no normal condiments on it, like ketchup, mayonaise, and mustard. I know i could have put these on myself, but real burgers normally come with them by default. Here’s a cross-section of it:

In the end, it just made me want a Beef ‘n Cheddar. Nice try Arby’s. I know you’re trying to be “hip”, but it’s just not working. I still love you, though! I’ll keep going to Arby’s no matter what.

Fool’s Gold – Worse then the worst movie I’ve ever seen. I’ll review later but suffice to say that 10 mins in Matthew McConaughey’s character “Finn” (REALLY?) shot a pistol under water…

So, after playing a little bit of the multiplayer portion of the Burnout Paradise Demo, i went and bought the full game the next day. All i really need to say is this: If you liked the driving parts of GTA3/Vice City/San Andreas, you’ll LOVE this game. Plus, you can do all of it multiplayer.

I really love the free-roaming nature of the multiplayer. You connect to a “room” and continue driving. The only thing that’s different is that there are other people in the city with you now. When you do stunts, it keeps track of who jumped the farthest, stayed in the opposing lane the longest, etc. If you beat the record for that session, it tells everyone so they know how good you are. I was playing the demo online, beating all the records the other guys had set, when suddenly the other three people on the server were chasing me down. Running away from those guys as fast as i could was probably the most fun i’ve had in an online game in a long time.

Basically, if you like arcade-style racing, and you don’t mind having to put Burnout Revenge into the Xbox when you want to get your Crash Mode fix, buy this game.
