So, when i first heard about the Arby’s RoastBurger, i was scared for a second that they had made an ACTUAL burger. Luckily, this was not the case. I’ve always admired Arby’s for sticking with the “roast beef” that has made them famous. If you don’t know what i’m talking about, the RoastBurger is basically an Arby’s Roast Beef sandwich with slightly different spices and standard burger toppings, like cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle.
We had a coupon for a free RoastBurger if you buy a small drink and fries at full price. I chose the Bacon Cheddar RoastBurger and went back to my office. Upon opening the bag, i saw that the RoastBurger was contained in a box bearing a striking resemblance to a Big Mac container, but i liked the look of it:
I opened the box, and found a sad-looking sandwich, but this is not a fault. Pretty much all burgers look crappy compared to the marketing images of them. Also note that i asked for no tomato or onion, which is most of the “burger-like” toppings:
So, i took a bite. Long story short, it wasn’t bad. The roast beef wasn’t very warm, so the cheese wasn’t nearly as melted as it would have been on a real burger. Also, there were no normal condiments on it, like ketchup, mayonaise, and mustard. I know i could have put these on myself, but real burgers normally come with them by default. Here’s a cross-section of it:
In the end, it just made me want a Beef ‘n Cheddar. Nice try Arby’s. I know you’re trying to be “hip”, but it’s just not working. I still love you, though! I’ll keep going to Arby’s no matter what.

That packaging is off the chain!
