Quick Reviews: "Fool’s Gold” and “King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters”

King of Kong – One of the best documentaries I’ve seen if not the best. I’d really like to send a letter to the guy’s (Steve) wife. She is a great wife to go through all of this!

Fool’s Gold – Worse then the worst movie I’ve ever seen. I’ll review later but suffice to say that 10 mins in Matthew McConaughey’s character “Finn” (REALLY?) shot a pistol under water…

Knowing what we do from Mythbusters, if you’re 8 feet underwater, even a gun shot from dry land wouldn’t hurt you. What would be the point of shooting one under the water itself? I mean, you CAN shoot a gun underwater, but probably only once, and only if it hasn’t been under long. But it wouldn’t get enough velocity to actually shoot anything. Not that I actually wanted to see that movie or anything, anyway. If only their propaganda wasn’t plastered all over Tropical Smoothie!

Yeah if they didn’t advertise all over Tropical Smoothie I might have given it a chance… but obviously they were hyping it up because it sucks so bad.
